I’m so excited to introduce you to Shannon Knowlton, a mixed-media fiber artist in the San Francisco Bay area who uses cross-stitch to celebrate women of the past, present and future.  I discovered her work on Instagram (the algorithm is working!) She has been featured in several publications. Her work has been juried into national exhibitions, and has collectors all over the world. The Perfect Subversive Gift

Nothing makes me happier than a tiny "fuck" stitched by hand and dressed up in a small ornate, vintage, gilded frame--my original inspiration for starting Subversive Cross Stitch. It still makes me giddy with delight. The best part is seeing the look on someone's face when they realize what you've just given them.
