Subversive stitcher Pauline Winick presented this modified version of our Fuck Aunt Lydia design to THE Margaret Atwood at an event! Pauline was disappointed she didn't get a photo of Ms. Atwood with the piece, but she left without opening it. I was looking around Twitter the other day (I'm terrible at keeping up with it) and saw that Ms. Atwood herself had posted this! WOW!! Last year, HotelTonight ran an ad campaign with several cross stitch pieces in hoops that everyone loved! I couldn't believe these pieces were created by a very talented graphic artist in San Francisco, I've never seen anyone do this so well - and I've sure seen a lot of people try. This year, HotelTonight asked me to create PDF patterns from three of their favorite ads from the campaign--it was pretty fun to do something completely in reverse from how I usually do it.
