And The Winners Are...

Okay, after MUCH deliberation and input from a few trusted friends, here are the winners of the caption contest (I could not possibly choose just one). These will all be coming soon!! In THIRD PLACE, we have a tie between two submitters and four phrases—I’m thinking this will be a series of Great Quotations ($15 gift certificate to each submitter): “Too fucking busy, too busy fucking.” from Diane “An apple a day keeps anyone away if you throw it hard enough.” from April “You have delighted us long enough.” from April “The world is a stage, but the play is badly cast.” from April In SECOND place, we have a tie between two submitters and two phrases I just have to see realized in cross stitch ($25 gift certificate to each submitter): “I wish I were a unicorn so I could stab all the useless people with my head.” (from Nysa) “When work feels overwhelming, remember that you're going to die.” (from Sarah) And in FIRST PLACE, the Grand Supreme Full Glitz Queen Champion winner of the $50 gift certificate!): “THIS PLACE IS TOTALLY GAY.” (from Ingrid) (you know I mean that in a super positive celebratory way, right?) Also, a Special Award goes to Eileen, a middle school teacher in a rough part of Chicago who sent several gems from the mouths of her students including “Shut up talking to me!” We all liked this so much that we’re planning to work on a series with her if she’ll have us.
