Octopus Slap by stitchcraftBy Fwass
A fun pattern from guest contributor stitchcraftByFwass--meet her in the blog!
French knots optional, but it's a good opportunity to get over your fear of them if you have one -- this tutorial by Jenny Hart never fails me.
ADD ON option: a pack of tiny 4mm vintage moonbeam sequins worthy of this gorgeous sea creature!
Design area size on 14-count material: 4" x 6.5";
this piece fits best in our 5" x 7" frame.
includes material, thread, pattern and instructions.

See the sample image of how you can use the optional moonbeam sequins. Knots, which, if you got sequins to avoid french knots is probably not your choice (ha); you can sew them on with thread (I used two strands here but you could use one); or just glue them on! The interesting thing is, as you can see, the sequins are indeed moonbeam neutral (not yellow) but they will pick up on the color of thread you use. So you could do this in a number of ways. I hope you'll share what you do on Instagram--tag it #subversivecrossstitch and I will look forward to seeing it!
