The Horrors Persist Glow-in-the-Dark Kit
OH, THE HORRORS! When will this elec--I mean, Halloween terror ever end?
This kit includes an entire skein of DMC glow-in-the-dark floss, and you'll need it! I've got some tips below on how to best work with this floss and I found Thread Magic a must--you can add it to the cart from her. Once you're done, this is a FUN piece in more ways than one. Halloween horrors, sure, but real-life pre-election horrors as well! ; ) Would look great in a 5x5" black frame. Comes with a glow-in-the-dark sticker while supplies last!
TIPS: don't use regular beeswax like I did because wax doesn't look great on black fabric (I forgot!). Use very good lighting--particularly behind the fabric so you can see what you're doing. Or put something white behind it in the background. I used THREE strands of the glow-in-the-dark floss at a time. A knot on the end helps to keep the tension right. And lots of thread magic! If the floss starts getting loose and "fluffy," lube it again as you stitch AND trim it again and again! Don't worry if you use the whole skein; I sure did. Anytime the floss got weird, I just cut a new piece. Also, SHORT pieces of floss--maybe 12-14" at a time is better (so you can avoid the floof).
Kit includes:
- black fabric- one glow-in-the-dark-skein
- two needles
- red floss
OPTIONAL add-on in drop-down menu:
- Thread Magic (since glowy floss can get a little unruly)
