I Survived Jarts by Mr. Stevers

I Survived Jarts by Mr. Stevers

In case your memory needs a nudge or it was before your time—Jarts (aka lawn darts or yard darts) were a backyard game where people hurled giant, weighted darts with plastic fins at a little target ring on the grass. Sounds fun until you remember they were also wildly dangerous, which is why the U.S. banned them in 1988. They’re now completely illegal—like, felony-level banned. As Mr. Stevers so perfectly put it, they’re “from simpler times when someone thought it was a good idea to produce huge sharp darts to be tossed around at backyard barbecues where the adult beverages flowed freely.”
