Even though things are far from normal right now, our job is to keep your spirits afloat as much as we can through the therapeutic pastime of cross stitch! We’ll be offering more free PDF patterns, and we’re shipping pretty quickly. We started self-isolating on March 9th because we’re being extremely careful in hopes that we’ll get to see my 95-year-old mom at some point. So don’t worry about us spreading anything through packages (if that’s even possible, I don’t think it is). And please remember that we have a ton of stuff in our Supplies section–don’t go to a craft store, just STAY HOME and we’ll ship it to you. And don’t forget to sign up for our enews and join us on social media. Links are over there >> on the right.
We love you and are here for you. Reach out if you have any suggestions or requests or just want to connect. We’re all in this together. xoxoxo

Social distancing is a nice idea, but with so many asymptomatic carriers the only thing that REALLY works for sure is STAYING THE FUCK HOME. If not for yourself, do it for my 95-year-old mom!
So Namastay the fuck home and stitch along with us! This pattern is a free PDF download because it’s something I can contribute–I know there are a lot of you going crazy out there, worrying about money and what’s next. You are not alone. ALSO, there are other free patterns here, so load up! This is also available as a kit, with all the supplies you need to stitch it up without leaving your home (don’t you step out that door!).
The Italians have their balconies to sing along with their neighbors. We’ve got needles and thread and the internet! Join us on Instagram and post your progress with the hashtags #scswip and #subversivecrossstitch or @subversivecrossstitch and I’ll see it for sure.
Oh, and one more thing — the Coronavirus Sanity Guide has been helping me. Maybe you can find something there that helps you, too.
Breathe. Try to relax as you stitch so your hands won’t hurt later. Clear your mind. Oh, and, y’know, STAY THE FUCK HOME! xoxoxo
When the going gets tough, the tough turn to cross stitch!
Here’s a great little set of reminders
for these trying times. Also, cross stitching is a pretty great way to stop touching your face, as I discovered while stitching this! Problems solved!
While you’re stocking up on the essentials (and also a few little luxuries just in case) don’t forget to stockpile some cross stitch, too! It’s a pretty great way to pass the time and relieve any stress you might have (stress? who, me?) We’ve been self-isolating for over a week now, so our “facility” (aka house) is germ-free as can be.
Take care of yourself out there! xoxo
